Job Title:   Financial Planning & Analysis Team Leader                                

Reports To:   PMO & Strategy Manager                                               

To lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities within the FinTech PMO, ensuring effective financial governance of projects and strategic initiatives while providing actionable insights that support informed decision-making, resource optimization, and sustainable business growth.

• Lead the annual budgeting cycle and periodic forecasting activities for projects, business initiatives, and operational functions, ensuring alignment with FinTech’s strategic objectives and growth plans.

•  Develop and maintain financial plans, forecasts, and resource allocation models to optimize investment decisions and support effective portfolio management.

• Monitor budget utilization across projects and programs, ensuring cost efficiency and effective management of financial resources.

• Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets, forecasts, and business cases, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions where required.

•  Support strategic planning, investment evaluations, acquisitions, and major business initiatives through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.

• Provide commercial insights and challenge business assumptions to enhance decision-making, profitability, and operational effectiveness.

• Partner with project managers, business units, technology teams, and senior management to ensure financial alignment and informed decision-making across the organization.

• Evaluate the financial viability, ROI, and business cases of strategic projects, fintech products, technology investments, and market expansion initiatives.

•  Monitor project costs, benefits realization, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expected value delivery.

• Track and manage CapEx and OpEx across project and technology portfolios, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and investment returns.

•  Assess portfolio performance and provide financial insights to support project prioritization, resource allocation, and investment decisions.

• Develop short-term and long-term financial forecasts, scenario models, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic and operational planning.

•  Identify financial risks, assess their potential impact, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

•  Analyze revenue enhancement opportunities, cost optimization initiatives, and operational efficiency improvements to support sustainable growth.

•  Prepare accurate and timely management reports, dashboards, and financial analyses covering revenue, operating expenses, project performance, and key business metrics.

• Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational strategy to drive accountability and continuous performance improvement.

•  Present financial findings, recommendations, and portfolio performance updates to executive management and governance committees to support data-driven decision-making.

• Establish and maintain project financial governance frameworks, financial controls, reporting standards, and approval processes across the PMO portfolio.

• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, governance requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal control standards.

• Support internal and external audits related to project expenditures, investments, and financial reporting activities, ensuring transparency and compliance.

• Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development and capability-building initiatives.

• Lead, coach, and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance, technical competencies, and adherence to operational standards.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements in information security.

Qualifications/Experience: -

• B.Sc. in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Banking & Financial Studies or any related field.  

• Professional certification in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management is preferred.

• Additional certifications in Project Management are considered an advantage.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance and financial management roles, preferably within the financial services or FinTech, Banking, FinTech Company, Mobile Telecom.

•  Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
