Job Title:      Data Science Specialist

Reports to:   Data Science Team leader 

About The Role

The Data Science Specialist is accountable for Data Science Team Leader to use data creatively to solve business challenges, often uncovering new and transformative opportunities along the way.  Applying state-of-the-art advanced analytics, quantitative tools, and modelling techniques to interpret, make inferences, and offer recommendations based on insights from the data.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities

1. Work closely with business team on advance analytic to get new insights that help on making a business decision.

2. Set a clear goals and questions, so you can apply different data mining algorithms like customer segmentation and churn prediction.

3. Sit with BI team to ensure all the data that required by different data model are available in their side.

4. Create different data mining models, execute it in sample data and then evaluate the model.

5. Make a presentation and sessions to the promising data models to different end users and ensure you deliver the goals and the ideas in the proper way 

6. Responsible for the security, Confidentiality & Integrity, of all information assets within his/her responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Information Security Policies.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

Qualifications/Experience: -

1. B.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

2. M.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is advance.

3. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data exploration, data mining, and predictive modelling (e.g., churn prediction, customer segmentation, propensity and CLV modelling).

4.  Telecom/subscriber data experience is a strong plus.

5. Proven experience building, validating, and deploying machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering) into production or business use.

6. Experience with big data platforms and cloud environments (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, AWS) is desirable.

7. Strong knowledge of programming languages for machine learning and advanced analytics, such as Python, R, SQL, and Scala, along with ML libraries/frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

8. Proficiency with version control and reproducible workflows (e.g., Git) and Agile/CRISP-DM project delivery.
