Role Purpose

Zain Iraq actively recruiting to hire a IT Service Layer Integration Senior Specialist who are responsible for overseeing the implementation of the IT operations, such as planning, procuring applications and supporting installation, to ensure that the highest standards of technology services are available to achieve the overall objectives of ZAIN IQ and ensure efficiency of the processes and operations. The job holders might also assess risks to IT security, evaluate potential solutions and propose clear plans and procedures for achieving a secure IT environment, and contribute to the creation of plans whereby known and potential risks can be managed and eliminated.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze business and technical requirements from stakeholders.

• Translate requirements into detailed technical specifications for integration solutions.

• Design service architecture and interface requirements for integration.

• Develop scripts and configurations at application and database levels.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and standards.

• Handle day-to-day operations of service layer integration systems.

• Provide L1, L2, and L3 support:

  • L1: Initial troubleshooting and incident logging.

  • L2: Advanced issue resolution and configuration fixes.

  • L3: Complex problem-solving and vendor coordination.

• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of incidents.

• Design and execute test cases and scenarios for integration components.

• Perform unit, integration, and system testing to validate functionality.

• Ensure defects are tracked, resolved, and documented according to release schedules.

• Continuously monitor system health, performance, and capacity.

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on service performance, incidents, and KPIs.

• Provide proactive alerts and recommendations for optimization.

• Maintain updated technical documentation for all integration processes.

• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.

• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization in integration workflows.

• Research emerging technologies (e.g., microservices, API gateways, cloud-native integration) and recommend enhancements.

• Manage end-to-end implementation of integration solutions.

• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for smooth deployment.

• Oversee release management, including building release packages and scheduling.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related fields

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in the Laravel framework.

• Good understanding of SQL queries and database design.

• Good experience in jQuery, Bootstrap.

• Proficient in using Linux.

• Basic understanding of a web server (such as nginx).

• Basic understanding of networking.
