About the Role
The Roaming Products and Services Consultant is accountable for shaping and accelerating the commercial performance of Zain Bahrain's roaming connectivity portfolio, covering Zain Roaming Passes and roaming eSIM products. The role provides strategic and hands-on support across proposition design, pricing, market coverage, digital acquisition, customer journeys, partnerships, performance analytics and go-to-market execution. The Consultant will work closely with Consumer Products and Services, Wholesale, Digital, Technology, CVM, Marcom, Customer Care, Finance and relevant external partners to grow revenue and profitability, improve customer experience and establish a differentiated and scalable travel connectivity proposition.
This is a temporary, project-based consultancy position.
What We Need From You
Develop and maintain an integrated strategy and product roadmap for Zain Roaming Passes and eSIM roaming products aligned with consumer priorities and travel trends.
Define clear market positioning, target segments and roles for each proposition, minimizing overlap and maximizing cross-sell across the portfolio.
Own commercial performance reviews covering revenue, gross margin, activations, active users, conversion, repeat purchase, ARPU and customer acquisition cost.
Prepare annual business plans, forecasts, budgets and commercial targets and recommend corrective actions when performance is below plan.
Design and continuously optimize roaming passes and eSIM propositions, including pricing, allowances, validity, destinations, coverage and promotional mechanics.
Conduct competitor, market and international benchmarking across mobile roaming, travel eSIM and digital travel services to identify growth opportunities.
Work with Wholesale Roaming, Finance and partners to assess costs, improve margins and support the optimization of commercial terms.
Develop market-prioritization models based on travel volumes, customer demand, wholesale cost, competitive intensity and revenue potential.
Lead go-to-market planning for launches, enhancements and campaigns, ensuring readiness across communications, channels, systems, support and customer terms.
Develop digital acquisition and conversion plans across the Zain App, websites, paid media, social channels, CRM and other channels.
Design and optimize end-to-end customer journeys, including discovery, purchase, eSIM installation, activation, payment, usage monitoring, renewal and support.
Identify operational and customer pain points and coordinate with Technology, Digital, Customer Care and vendors to resolve them within agreed timelines.
Develop lifecycle and contextual engagement journeys, including pre-travel recommendations, arrival triggers, allowance alerts, renewal, cross-sell and win-back campaigns.
Establish dashboards and recurring performance reports, providing management with actionable insights, risks, opportunities and recommendations.
Analyze product, market and customer cohorts to improve conversion, usage, retention, repeat purchase, revenue and profitability.
Support the development and management of strategic partnerships with airlines, airports, travel platforms, insurers, payment providers and lifestyle partners.
Monitor service performance and key operational KPIs, including provisioning, payment success, activation success, service availability, complaints and SLA adherence.
Ensure products, campaigns and customer communications comply with regulatory, legal, data privacy, fraud-control and internal governance requirements.
Transfer knowledge, document processes and provide guidance to internal teams, while performing other related assignments requested by Senior Management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, Finance, Economics or a relevant field. A Master's degree, MBA, or certification in product management, digital commerce or telecom roaming is an advantage.
8 to 10 years of experience in telecom, roaming, digital products, eSIM, product management or commercial strategy.
Demonstrated experience managing or advising on roaming propositions, digital travel products, international eSIM or adjacent connectivity services.
Proven track record in product commercialization, pricing, business cases, revenue and margin optimization, go-to-market execution and cross-functional delivery.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of retail and wholesale roaming economics, roaming passes, eSIM and digital connectivity business models.
Commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, profitability analysis and business-case development.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in dashboards, BI tools and performance reporting.
Knowledge of digital commerce, customer journeys, product management and go-to-market practices.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes.
