IT Infrastructure Specialist

Responsible for IT Infrastructure function, ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the organization’s IT Infrastructure systems, IP networks, and support services. The role involves supervising a team of infrastructure managing service and  vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance of infrastructure assets in alignment with business requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Job

1. Oversee and coordinate the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of data center infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup operations.

2. Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of corporate communication services (email, file sharing, etc.), infrastructure security systems, and server environments.

3. Supervise the management and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure, covering LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and remote branches across various locations.

4. Ensure proper documentation and physical management of the data center, including rack allocation, cabling, and related infrastructure hygiene practices.

5. Monitor and enhance service delivery through a structured service desk function, ensuring effective incident tracking, escalation, and resolution.

6. Manage vendor relationships related to IT infrastructure, coordinating delivery, support, and licensing requirements in line with contractual obligations.

7. Work closely with other IT functions and business stakeholders to assess infrastructure needs and ensure alignment with ongoing and future business initiatives.

8. Drive the implementation of IT infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures, and ensure adherence to information security and business continuity requirements.

9. Lead infrastructure planning and scaling to support business growth, ensuring high availability and performance.

10. Provide coaching, support, and performance management for direct reports to build team capability and ensure high levels of motivation and professionalism.

11. Record and maintain infrastructure architecture, configuration changes, network diagrams, and operational procedures.

12. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during IT infrastructure reviews, ensuring timely closure of audit points and compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
