About the Role

The DevOps Team Leader is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the DevOps team, ensuring the

efficient delivery of automation, cloud-native solutions, and CI/CD processes. The role combines technical expertise

with team leadership, supporting team members, prioritizing workloads, and aligning with cross-functional

stakeholders to meet Zain’s digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of DevOps Analysts and Specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance

feedback.

• Plan and prioritize team tasks to ensure delivery of DevOps projects and operational objectives on time.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and cloud-native

deployments.

• Ensure governance and maintenance of Application Performance Management (APM) tools and Kubernetes

platforms.

• Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and optimize

deployment environments.

• Review and validate team members’ solutions to ensure alignment with best practices, security requirements, and

performance standards.

• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth integration and

operations.

• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution. Stay updated on industry

trends and emerging technologies relevant to DevOps practices.

• Perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security

Management System (ISMS) policies and report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the

supervisor/manager immediately.

• Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the

published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait.

What We Need From You

Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go Language.

• Understanding of various types of infrastructure resources.

• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.

• Basic knowledge of relational databases.

• Familiarity with deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Spinnaker, etc.

• Basic knowledge of "Infrastructure as Code" tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernete

Bachelors Degree
