About the Role

SUMMARY ROLE

The Business Data Analytics Analyst / Professional supports the development of reports, datasets, dashboards, and analytical outputs that address business data and reporting requirements. The role works with senior analysts to translate business needs into data solutions by identifying relevant data sources, analyzing datasets, and generating insights that support operational monitoring and business decision-making. This position also contributes to improving data quality and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the collection and analysis of business data requirements, including business processes and business logic.

  • Assist in identifying appropriate data sources, systems, and tools required to fulfill reporting and analytics needs.

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data objects using proper BI platforms and solutions.

  • Support the creation of 360-views of customer journey/experience and business interactions through integrated reporting solutions.

  • Assist in automating operational processes, reports/analytical outputs, and data anomaly detection mechanisms while ensuring data accuracy.

  • Perform data preparation activities including data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and integration from multiple un-/structured data sources.

  • Support advanced analytics initiatives by preparing datasets and engineered features for analytical modeling.

  • Support in development and operation of advanced analytics solutions of machine learning and AI models to turn data into value to address business needs and enrich BI capability

  • Handle customer complaints and service requests (related to reporting and data analysis) within defined SLA while achieving highest level of quality and data accuracy in response.

  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, reliability, and quality.

  • Provide support by participating in cross functional teams of projects required data and analytics function.

  • Contribute to maintaining data definitions, metadata documentation, and KPI catalog in alignment with the organization’s data governance framework.

  • Maintain and create knowledge of organizational content in data, analytics techniques, BI tools, data development, and best practices.

  • Support measurement of Zain performance across business domains to guide the process of Zain activities in co-ordination with relevant stakeholders, draw the SMART road map of the enterprise business intelligence unit, and align Zain and BI vision and missions          

  • Perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the supervisor/manager immediately

  • Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait

What We Need From You

SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies

  • Knowledgeable in order management systems within the telecom industry

  • Knowledge of support processes specific to the telecom industry

  • Advanced Microsoft Office toolkit (Excel, pptx)

  • Knowledge of development and development process.

  • Data analytics and visual analytics (Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics)

  • Competency in P-/SQL, Shell Script, Big Data, Python, R, Data Analysis, ETL is preferred

  • Strong digital and analytical skillset

  • Customer journey design experience

  • Good negotiation, interpersonal and customer care skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and frame key issues

  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and project management skills

  • Great people management skills and knowledge

High reliability in executing tasks within expected timeframe and to expected quality standards

Education

Computer Science, Information systems, or a related field

Bachelor’s Degree
