Role Purpose

Zain Iraq actively recruiting to hire a Performance Marketing Specialist – Ecommerce who is responsible for Drive profitable customer acquisition and revenue growth for Zain Mart through data-driven performance marketing across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads. This role will own the paid acquisition part of the funnel, optimizing for ROAS, CAC, and basket size in Iraq's competitive ecommerce landscape

Responsibilities
  • Plan, launch, and optimize performance campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Google Ads

  • Build and test audience segments, creative variants, and bidding strategies to maximize ROAS

  • Manage product catalog feeds and dynamic retargeting campaigns

  • Coordinate with media agency partners while maintaining direct ad account access for agile optimization

  • Implement and maintain GA4 tracking architecture for ecommerce events 

  • Build daily/weekly performance dashboards tracking ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, AOV, and basket size

  • Conduct cohort analysis and customer lifetime value modeling

  • Identify optimization opportunities through funnel analysis and attribution modeling

  • Run structured A/B tests on audiences, creatives, landing pages, and offers

  • Develop a promotional calendar aligned with product launches and seasonal peaks

  • Optimize customer journey from ad click to checkout completion

  • Monitor competitor activity and adapt strategies accordingly

  • Provide weekly performance reports with actionable insights to Head of Digital

  • Brief creative teams on performance-driven asset requirements

  • Align with product/merchandising teams on promotional strategies

  • Share insights on customer behavior patterns to inform business decisions

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Above

Experience

  • 3-5 years in performance marketing, with at least 2 years focused on e-commerce

  • Expert in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads

  • Advanced GA4 (custom events, conversion tracking, exploration reports)

  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and budget planning

  • Familiar with UTM parameters, conversion APIs, and pixel implementation

  • Experience with Looker Studio, Metabase, or similar BI tools

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into action

  • Understanding of ecommerce metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV, AOV, cart abandonment)

  • Experience optimizing for Iraq/MENA market (local payment behaviors, cultural nuances)
