Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is seeking a Junior Frontend Developer with a passion for building clean, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and basic experience with modern frameworks—Svelte is a strong plus. This role focuses on learning, contributing to UI development, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining user-friendly, visually appealing web applications.

  • Work with Svelte (preferred) or other modern frameworks under guidance from senior developers.

  • Use CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap, and preprocessors (SASS/Less) to support styling tasks.

  • Implement responsive layouts, basic accessibility practices, and support for RTL/LTR localization (Arabic/Latin).

  • Help integrate front-end interfaces with RESTful and SOAP APIs.

  • Contribute to improving application performance, SEO basics, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Use build tools such as Yarn and Vite as part of the development workflow.

  • Write simple unit tests and participate in integration testing.

  • Assist in debugging and refining UI components.

  • Collaborate with the team, follow best practices, and continuously learn modern frontend technologies.

  • Stay updated with new frontend trends and contribute ideas to improve development processes.

Educational , Experience and comptemncies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience in frontend development (internships or personal projects count).

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and exposure to Svelte (preferred) or other frameworks.

  • Basic understanding of CSS frameworks (Tailwind/Bootstrap) and preprocessors.

  • Understanding of responsive design, localization, and web accessibility concepts.

  • Basic experience integrating APIs (REST preferred; SOAP is a plus).

  • Good problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Experience or interest in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
