About the Role

A Job Title: Business Operation Advance Specialist

Department/Section: Strategy and Business Excellence

Reports To: Business Operation and Corporate Budgeting Manager


Job Purpose:

To oversee operational performance tracking, KPI governance, and the development of intelligent business insights. The role ensures efficient corporate project monitoring and strategic alignment, supporting Zain SD’s transformation into a data-driven and performance-oriented organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor a centralized KPI repository covering financial, operational, and customer metrics.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations for monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews.

  • Benchmark Zain SD’s performance against regional and international telecom operators, providing actionable insights to management.

  • Produce intelligent operational reports and dashboards that highlight key trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.

  • Act as the focal point for strategy-related performance assessments, coordinating with all divisions to consolidate inputs and ensure alignment.

  • Support the review of business cases for major operational projects, assessing alignment with strategy and financial feasibility.

  • Ensure all reports and dashboards comply with Information Security and Business Excellence standards.

  • Provide ad-hoc operational intelligence and performance analytics to the CEO Office and relevant stakeholders.

  • Support in budget preparation, quarterly reforecasting, and 5-year Business Plan (BP) tracking, highlighting focus areas and key gaps.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework to track strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Group Strategy Team to ensure consistency between Zain SD’s operational performance and the Group’s strategic priorities.


Dimensions:

  • Corporate performance monitoring and business intelligence.

  • Cross-functional coordination for budget and strategy alignment.

  • Provides performance insights and support to CXOs and the CEO Office.


 

What We Need From You

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Telecommunications, or Engineering.

  • MBA or professional certification in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Data Analytics is an advantage.

  • 5–7 years of experience in strategy, business planning, or PMO roles within the telecom industry.

  • Proven experience in business modeling, financial analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel advanced).

 

 

 

 


Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of telecom operations (products, services, sales, and network).

  • Knowledge of budget control, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting techniques.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and business excellence frameworks.

  • Awareness of data analytics and statistical modeling for performance tracking.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Advanced Excel and data visualization proficiency.
