Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is actively recruiting to hire an E-commerce Category Management Specialist who is responsible for driving growth and competitiveness within assigned product categories. By analyzing market trends, strengthening merchant partnerships, and optimizing product assortment, the role ensures that categories remain relevant, profitable, and aligned with customer demand

Responsibilities
  • Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, and new product opportunities to identify category growth potential.

  • Recruit, onboard, and support new merchants to expand category depth and enhance product variety.

  • Build and maintain strong merchant partnerships through regular communication and engagement activities.

  • Negotiate exclusive offers, promotional packages, and seasonal campaigns to maximize sales.

  • Develop and execute category strategies tailored to consumer demand and market conditions.

  • Monitor merchant performance, ensuring SLA compliance and guiding improvement.

  • Optimize product assortment in line with customer preferences, seasonal demand, and competitive positioning.

  • Track and analyze category sales data, preparing reports and insights for performance optimization.

  • Partner with marketing teams to design and implement impactful category-specific campaigns.

  • Collaborate with logistics and merchant support teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and smooth operations.

  • Stay informed on competitor activities and propose innovative initiatives to strengthen category positioning.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Above

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in the related field

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
