Applications Team Leader

The Applications Team Leader ensures the development, delivery, and ongoing support of IT applications in line with international standards and best practices. This role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to meet requirements, overseeing application operations, managing backups, and leading the development and programming of new applications. Additionally, he/ she implements and aligns applications processes with company policies and best practices

Roles of the position

  1. Ensure Application Quality: Develop and manage the delivery of applications in accordance with international standards and best practices.

  2. Provide Support & Training: Offer administration, technical support, and training to Zain SS staff for all applications.

  3. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business users, Zain technical teams, and software vendors to ensure software delivery meets requirements and agreed standards.

  4. Monitor Application Operations: Oversee and follow up on all application-related operations tasks, including installation and configuration upgrade and maintenance.

  5. Coordinate Data & Application Backups: Work closely with the IT infrastructure team and all stakeholders to ensure regular backups of data and applications to maintain security and integrity.

  6. Manage Applications Development: Lead the development and management of newly requested applications based on business needs and departmental requirements.

  7. Implement Applications Processes: Prepare, implement, and align applications processes with Zain policies and best practices.
