Role Purpose
Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire Business Planning Expert who will be responsible to Support the strategic and operational planning process across the organization by developing business plans, monitoring performance, and driving data-driven decision-making. The role plays a key part in ensuring alignment between financial planning, business objectives, and market realities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and update annual and multi-year business plans in collaboration with key departments, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial targets.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments, highlighting variances, trends, and areas requiring corrective action.
Assist in coordinating the budgeting process by providing relevant business inputs, aligning financial assumptions with strategic initiatives, and ensuring consistency across departments.
Conduct detailed analysis on business performance, operational efficiency, and cost structures to support planning and optimization efforts.
Support development of forecast models and scenario analyses to assess business impacts under various internal and external conditions.
Work closely with finance, commercial, technical, and operational teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure planning accuracy.
Prepare planning reports and executive summaries for internal management and group-level communication, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance.
Education, Experience and Competencies
Education
Bachelor's degree or Above
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years in a similar role
Required Skills
Strong problem-solving and quantitative analysis capabilities, with attention to detail.
Hands-on experience with budgeting tools, forecasting models, and planning cycles.
Proficient in creating dashboards and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Effective communicator and team player who can work across departments and influence stakeholders.
Familiarity with key telecom KPIs, revenue drivers, and cost structures is preferred.
Comfortable with complex excel models
Having good understanding of the Finance domain is preferred (Not only as bachelor's degree also as actual work in Finance)
