Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire HR Talent Acquisition Expert who is responsible Lead and support the end-to-end recruitment cycle by identifying, attracting, and securing high-quality talent aligned with Zain Iraq’s strategic workforce needs. This role plays a critical part in driving the organization’s hiring goals, with a specific focus on sourcing technical profiles (e.g., developers, IT professionals), maintaining strong talent pipelines, and producing insightful recruitment analytics for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Human Resources strategy and departmental objectives.

  • Implement and continuously improve Talent Acquisition (TA) policies, processes, and tools based on business needs and market best practices.

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for a wide range of roles, with a focus on technical and digital profiles, including software developers, data engineers, product owners, and IT specialists.

  • Support manpower planning efforts by providing input on vacancy status and future hiring needs.

  • Conduct job-specific interviews, technical assessments (in collaboration with hiring managers), and end-of-service exit interviews as required.

  • Prepare and present job offers, manage negotiations, and ensure timely hiring decisions in line with SLAs.

  • Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.

  • Collaborate with HR peers and supervisors across projects and deliverables related to TA and organizational development.

  • Deliver coaching and guidance to junior TA staff and ensure quality and consistency in their work.

  • Interact with other internal departments to ensure smooth HR service delivery and proper feedback management.

  • Develop and maintain a proactive pipeline of high-potential talent, particularly in technical domains, for current and future needs.

  • Drive employer branding initiatives by organizing job fairs, university partnerships, and junior-level hiring programs to attract fresh graduates and young professionals.

  • Lead the preparation of recruitment reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and track hiring performance metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, diversity indicators).

  • Monitor adherence to approved HR/TA policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

  • Draft and update HR documentation including employment contracts, job descriptions, and recruitment process guides.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with a minimum of 2 years focused on technical/IT hiring

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and reporting tools

  • Telecom industry or fast-paced tech environment experience is a plus

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong experience in technical recruitment, particularly in hiring developers, digital product teams, and IT professionals

    • Solid understanding of modern sourcing methods, tools, and platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub,  etc.)

    • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

    • High attention to detail with strong reporting and data analysis capabilities (Excel, Power BI, ATS reporting tools)
