Role Propose

Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire HR performance Expert who will be responsible to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Zain Iraq's performance management framework. The role will focus on cascading KPIs, SMART objectives, and OKRs throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of performance scorecards, employee assessment systems, and performance-driven culture initiatives, helping Zain Iraq foster continuous improvement, accountability, and high-performance outcomes.l.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, refinement, and implementation of the company's performance management framework, ensuring it supports and aligns with organizational strategic objectives.

  • Develop a structured approach for cascading KPIs and SMART objectives throughout all levels of the organization, from executive to individual contributors.

  • Work closely with senior management and department heads to ensure KPIs and OKRs are clear, measurable, and aligned with both short-term and long-term business goals.

  • Ensure KPIs are appropriately tailored for different departments and individual roles, driving organizational effectiveness.

  • Manage and oversee the annual and mid-year performance review processes, ensuring they are comprehensive, timely, and reflective of employees' contributions to organizational goals.

  • Design and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees in collaboration with related management.

  • Lead initiatives to create and foster a high-performance culture, promoting transparency, accountability, and alignment with corporate values.

  • Work alongside Learning & Development teams to identify training needs that will address performance gaps and contribute to career progression.

  • Identify, implement, and optimize technology solutions (e.g., HRIS systems, performance dashboards) to streamline performance tracking, reporting, and data analysis.

  • Introduce and manage performance tools such as 360-degree feedback and competency-based assessments.

  • Regularly assess performance trends, offering actionable insights and recommending improvements to the performance management system.

  • Drive best practices in performance measurement, linking results to rewards, promotions, and succession planning.

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, corporate governance standards, and ethical guidelines in all performance management processes.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the performance management system remains compliant and effective.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to executives and managers on performance-related issues and best practices.

  • Prepare and present periodic reports on organizational performance trends, identifying areas of improvement and recommending interventions.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

 Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in performance management, HR strategy, or organizational development, with at least 3 years in a senior/expert-level role.

  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing performance frameworks across multiple departments or business units.

  • Proven track record of successfully cascading KPIs, SMART objectives, and OKRs across an organization to drive performance alignment and business success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-SCP / CIPD Level 7 / HRCI-SPHR or equivalent.

  • Certified KPI Professional (C-KPI) or Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP).
