Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire a Senior Quality Assurance Lead – Digital platform who is responsible for defining and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of Zain IQ’s digital products. This role involves defining detailed test cases, acceptance criteria, and overseeing end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The Quality Lead works closely with the Product Owner to align testing outcomes with business priorities and directly coordinates with all teams to ensure that tests are executed and finalized on time. The Quality Lead is accountable for monitoring post-launch performance and ensuring that defect resolution is timely and effective.

Responsibilities
  • Define test cases and acceptance criteria based on product specifications provided by the Product Owner, Experience Designer and Product Designer

  • Develop comprehensive test plans to cover functional, non-functional, and performance requirements

  • Align with the Product Owner to ensure that testing priorities reflect the strategic direction

  • Coordinates with all teams to ensure that tests are finalized on time

  • Oversee and lead UAT cycles, ensuring that all test cases are executed and documented accurately

  • Collaborate with the Product Designer to refine acceptance criteria and test conditions based on product goals

  • Identify gaps in test coverage and implement corrective actions to improve future test cycles

  • Track and manage issue identification, resolution, and retesting to ensure product readiness

  • Provide feedback to the Experience Designer on usability issues identified during testing

  • Evaluate defect patterns to proactively mitigate risks and recurring issues

  • Coordinate with the Product Owner to escalate high-priority issues and recommend adjustments to product scope if necessary

  • Measure and report testing metrics, including defect rates, UAT duration, and test coverage

  • Provide actionable insights and regular status reports to stakeholders and management teams

  • Monitor post-release product performance to identify and address issues proactively

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to analyze post-launch quality metrics and identify improvement areas

  • Establish a feedback loop with the Product Designer and Experience Designer to apply post-launch insights into future releases

  • Coordinate with product management, developers, and business stakeholders to align quality assurance activities

  • Communicate testing progress, results, and critical insights clearly and effectively across teams

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related discipline

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Testing Management, or related roles.

  • Demonstrated expertise in defining test cases, acceptance criteria, and leading UAT cycles.

  • Proven experience managing quality assurance activities in digital environments (mobile and web platforms).

  • Previous experience with Agile testing practices and methodologies

Skills

  • Strong expertise in testing tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Selenium)

  • Deep knowledge of UAT processes, defect management, and test documentation best practices

  • Proficiency in Agile methodology and experience with digital projects

  • Ability to define clear, measurable acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks
