Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively to recruitin to hire a Senior Experience Designer -Digital platform The Experience Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and effective digital experiences for Zain IQ’s digital platforms. This role focuses on user research, usability testing, developing wireframes, prototypes, and creating both low and high-fidelity designs. By designing effective interfaces from the outset and continuously optimizing through A/B testing and user feedback, the designer ensures seamless interactions, enhancing user satisfaction and digital engagement. The role works closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to align design outcomes with business priorities and with the Product Designer and Quality Lead to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Define qualitative and quantitative user research direction

  • Collaborate with analysts to understand user behaviors, preferences, and challenges

  • Analyze user feedback to identify design opportunities and improve digital experiences

  • Define user personas, journey maps, and interaction flows based on research insights

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to align user research outcomes with product strategy

  • Share user research insights with the Product Designer to inform feature development

  • Develop detailed wireframes

  • Align designs with product requirements and business goals defined by the Product Owner

  • Collaborate with the Product Designer to ensure technical feasibility of design solutions

  • Engage with the Quality Lead to define and implement design-related acceptance criteria

  • Ensure consistent application of design guidelines and patterns across platforms

  • Conduct usability testing sessions to identify areas of friction and improve designs iteratively

  • Work closely with the Quality Lead to integrate usability test outcomes into the development cycle

  • Conduct A/B testing in simulated environments to evaluate usability effectiveness before full-scale deployment

  • Monitor and measure improvements in UI/UX effectiveness (e.g., user engagement, session duration)

  • Collaborate with product management, development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure consistency and alignment of digital experiences

  • Present findings and strategies to leadership in a clear and concise manner, ensuring alignment with corporate goals

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of design standards, processes, and best practices

  • Continuously update and refine UI/UX guidelines aligned with evolving digital trends and user expectations

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in UX/UI design, digital product design, or related roles.

  • Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and delivering UX/UI design for mobile/web platforms.

  • Demonstrated skills in creating prototypes, wireframes, and visual design execution.

  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.

Skills

  • Expertise in UX/UI design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision)

  • Proficiency in user research methodologies (interviews, surveys, usability tests, analytics review)

  • Experience with analytics and A/B testing platforms (Google Analytics, Optimizely, Google Optimize)

  • Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles

  • Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles
