Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is actively recruiting to hire an Experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing efforts across backend systems, mobile applications, and web platforms.The successful candidate will design and implement both automated and manual test strategies to ensure the highest levels of software quality, performance, and security.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts utilizing Python, pytest, and Selenium frameworks.

• Conduct comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, integration, security, and performance testing.

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on product specifications and business requirements.

• Write scripts to simulate datasets and develop stubs for various testing scenarios.

• Process tickets and issue reports coming from various teams, help validate the issue and conduct any necessary inspection to identify the scope.

• Identify, document, and manage defects using ticketing and issue-tracking tools.

• Collaborate closely with developers, customer support, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

• Ensure strict adherence to established QA standards, best practices, and testing methodologies.

• Stay updated with industry advancements and actively mentor junior QA team members.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software testing and automation.

• Strong expertise in Python, Selenium, pytest, and test automation frameworks.

• Experience with APM tools, performance monitoring, and debugging.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus
