Job Purpose: Accountable to the Radio Planning Team Leader in providing inputs into the design of capacity and load planning for Zain network, ensure radio network plans and dimensions according to commercial/business requirements and the rollout plan & license obligations, provide input for the design of new technologies and services in accordance to Zain business strategy. Key Tasks/Accountability: • Perform GSM, WCDMA and LTE Radio network planning using solid RF Engineering principles & RF Planning Tool. Determine antenna type, height & EIRP. • Conducts site surveys and select BTS/Node-B/eNode-B sites, co-plan with GSM BTS and produce Site survey Reports & RF Design Report. • Perform efficient frequency/scrambling code planning, HSN, BSIC and neighbouring list to minimize interference. • Perform capacity planning and determine site configurations. • Perform indoor sites survey and RF design. • Generate GSM, WCDMA and LTE coverage prediction plots and provides necessary inputs/changes for optimization. • Maintain and carry out changes to all plans and blue prints for internal reference as well as for the planning and safety municipalities. • Input into the development contingency plans to mitigate risks/issues as the Zain network expands and the business grows. • Undertake the critical parameters influencing the final project implementation and propose best technical solutions for the implementation problems. • Validating and approving candidates through site survey reports produced by outsource companies and re-planning the rejected sites. • Interfacing with the concerned sections/departments (Planning, Optimization, Operations, Implementation, commercial …etc.) to provide the required/needed information, support and problem solving. • Involved in preparing the planning process for the workflow, weekly reports, templates, tracking database and time schedule in order to achieve company standard. • Participate in the assessment of technical needs for new radio network related features that planned to be deployed in Zain SD network. • Work in effective task forces with corresponding teams in the Network department for the deployment of new technologies/features in Zain SD network. • Handle trials projects for new products/features & produce Trial detailed reports & Business Case Analysis.
