Department/Section: Infrastructure Planning & Deployment
Job Title: IT Infrastructure Planning & Deployment Specialist
Reports to: Infrastructure Planning & Deployment Team Leader
Job Purpose: Accountable to the IT Infrastructure Planning & Deployment Team Leader to handle & manage the Planning, Deployment and configuration of technology infrastructure elements in alignment to the business demand, technology architecture and roadmaps. Also handling of all IT Infrastructure projects to ensure the planned deliverables of the projects are met and in accordance to Zain business strategy. |

Typical Performance Measures: 1- Effectiveness of managing projects SLA contracts with vendors. 2- Departmental engagement survey results 3- Team skill level improvement. 4- Team relations and morale. 5- Various audit results. 6- Effectiveness and efficient projects deliveries. 7- Processes development, enhancement and improvement. |
Dimensions:
Report to IT Infrastructure Planning & Deployment Team Leader.
Adherence to ITIL Processes.
Achieve ISO certifications.
Team and vender proper management.
Coordination and collaboration with other Zain teams.
What We Need From You
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications/Experience: - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, IS or any related technical field. - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similarly sized telecommunications Development IT environments with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical projects delivery with demonstrated success. |
Knowledge: - Broad understanding of the Mobile Telecommunication industry, Local and international market conditions, regional political climate and communications regulatory policies. - Knowledge of IT infrastructure (Virtualization, Cloud, Servers, Storage, Databases, Backup systems, IP Networks, IP Core) - Project Management lifecycle - Good understanding of best practice in Change Management processes and methodologies. - Understanding of GSM mobile operations, products and services. - Process improvement and management. - SLA enforcement and measurement. - Vender Management. |
