About the Role

Job Title:                               Social Media Supervisor.

Reports to:                            Social Media Team Leader

 

Job Purpose:

To manage and update Zain website and Social Media platforms according to Group’s unified policies and procedures; and align all communication with media relations strategy internally and externally.

 

 

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

 

1. Maintain Zain’s website with consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.

 

2. Post various products to the appropriate networks and identify which products should be disseminated to which networks.


3. Develop SOPs on current tasks and collaborate to develop and implement a new dissemination platform.


4. Gather requirements and work with IT staff and all stakeholders in order to improve processes and tools.


5. Work with a cross-departmental team, to maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties


6. Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events


7. Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.

8. Track and report on all site metrics and monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications


9. Provide analytical support for the creation of information sharing policies and procedures.


10. Coordinate web projects across departments


11. Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, monitoring, responding, measuring, and reporting.


12. Responsible for the Intranet project, establishment and maintenance.

 

13. Regularly provide feedback and insights gained from social media monitoring including competitor’s activities.

 

14- Undertake any additional relevant tasks/activities as delegated by  management.

 

15- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regular requirements on Information Security.

16- Provide needed reports to support corporate and commercial needs

17- Using creative tools and ideas to increase website traffic

18- Using SEO tools to increase visibility in search engines

 

Typical Performance Measures:

- Demonstrate a penchant for proper grammar, correct spelling, and proofing.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
- Experience in gathering relevant data points from multiple sources for use in producing client reporting documents.
- Ability to provide analysis and accountability for account results and achievements.
- Comprehends, authors, and, proofs strategic technical documents and proposals for social media and digital services

What We Need From You

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

Qualifications/Experience:

- Educated to Degree level
- Relevant Professional Social Media and Communication qualification is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years previous experience of a Junior role (Media/ PR/Communication) in a private sector organisation is mandatory
- International management experience preferred
- Ability to communicate well in Arabic and English is mandatory
- Strong writing skills, strong communications and presentation skills, detail oriented, self-starter, excellent organizational skills, excellent news judgment, multitasked, people management skills, creative, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, networking skills

- Experience In Website Development

- Experience in Search Engine Optimization

- Comprehensive understanding of the role of social media to private organizations and professional - experience preferred with social media platforms

- Experience working with share point

- Experience working with a content management system (CMS) (preferred)

 

Knowledge:

- In-depth understanding of major elements of the Social Media/Communication/Conventional Media mix
- In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment

- In-depth knowledge of current best practice in Social Media and Communication methods and approaches
- Knowledge of creating and developing Social Media strategy
- Relevant IT experience
