Job Title:                            Cloud and Hosting specialist

Job Purpose:

The Cloud Specialist is the technical owner of Zain’s B2B cloud services, including Zain’s own cloud and reseller partnerships with Alibaba Cloud, AWS, and Oracle. The role is responsible for marketing cloud services, providing presales support, and ensuring the successful delivery and support of cloud solutions for corporate clients. The Cloud Specialist will work closely with the Cloud Team Leader to drive market adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth for Zain’s cloud offerings.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities

 

  • Cloud Ownership & Technical Expertise:

    • Act as the technical owner of Zain’s cloud services, ensuring a deep understanding of Zain’s own cloud and reseller partnerships (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Oracle).

    • Provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and support of cloud solutions for corporate clients plus pricing.

    • Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, trends, and competitor offerings to ensure Zain’s cloud services remain competitive.

  • Cloud Marketing:

    • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Zain’s cloud services, including Zain’s own cloud and reseller partnerships.

    • Create go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities for cloud services.

    • Collaborate with the marketing branding team to develop marketing materials, campaigns, and digital content to drive cloud service awareness and adoption.

    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Presales Support:

    • Work closely with the presales team to design and deliver tailored cloud solutions for corporate clients.

    • Develop technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to support the sales process.

    • Act as the technical expert during customer meetings, addressing inquiries and providing detailed explanations of Zain’s cloud offerings.

    • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and developing account-winning strategies for cloud services.

  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution:

    • Work closely with the after sales support team for technical support of cloud services, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Escalate complex issues to the Cloud Team Leader or external vendors, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the presales and sales teams to ensure alignment on cloud offerings and go-to-market strategies.

    • Collaborate with external vendors and partners (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Oracle, etc.) to deliver integrated cloud solutions to customers.

    • Provide feedback to the Cloud Team Leader on customer requirements and technical challenges.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate documentation of customer issues, resolutions, and knowledge-sharing materials.

    • Provide detailed weekly and monthly reports on cloud activities, including marketing performance, incident resolution, and customer satisfaction metrics.

    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as market penetration, SLA compliance, and customer retention rates.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve cloud processes, marketing strategies, and service delivery, ensuring continuous enhancement of customer experience.

    • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Person Specification:

Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Alibaba Cloud Expert) is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud services, technical sales, or a related field, preferably in the telecommunications or IT industry.

  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (Zain’s own cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Oracle).

  • Strong understanding of the B2B market and corporate customer needs.

  • Experience in marketing cloud services and presales support is highly desirable.
