Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is recruiting to hire a Marketing pricing senior analyst who will be a part of the Pricing Team that is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s overall pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and pricing tools as well as commercial planning. The team ensures alignment between the strategic financial targets and commercial priorities to deliver on expected business results. They also develop and deploy new products and services and monitor results and achievements as per the applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and participate in the development of Product Pricing, and plans and participate in the achievement of objectives and targets.

  • Implement and suggest improvements to Product Pricing policies and procedures.

  • Develop and adapt business case models based on customers’ requirements and provide appropriate pricing recommendations for the required services - based on profitability expectations, risk profile, and perspective on market prices.

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders including the Finance department to seek consent for all new products and services.

  • Assist in improving pricing tools, business case models, and related processes.

  • Support and recommendations to the Product department for launching new products and services.

  • Develop pricing reports and analyses to support strategic pricing decisions.

  • Generate periodical assessments/studies of vital products & services to gauge performance and recommend ways forward based on results.

  • Develop tariff plans and suggest tariff changes for all Services and seek approvals.

  • Review results of price sensitivity analysis on different customer segments, cannibalization impacts of pricing decisions, the financial impact of proposed promotions, the cost impact of new regulations, and other types of analysis as needed and use them as input for decision making.

  • Keep abreast of regulations updates and make sure to take updates into consideration during the pricing/pricing reviews.

Education, Experience and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business / MBA / related field or equivalent  

Experience

  • A minimum 2 years' experience, preferably in Telecommunications.

  • At least 6 months or more experience in Pricing, Segments, Performance Mgmt., Business insights, Base Mgmt.

  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Think-cell, and Data warehouse business tools.
