Role Purpose

Zain Iraq Is Actively recruiting to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance system reliability, security, and performance through automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in networking, security, containerization, and Linux-based infrastructure to support microservices and cloud-native applications.

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, identifying root causes efficiently.

• Implement and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure.

• Expertly configure and optimize GNU/Linux (RedHat), including SELinux, Firewalld, systemd, and filesystems.

• Work with microservices architectures, containerization (Podman/Docker), and orchestration tools.

• Automate infrastructure management using Bash, Python, and scripting.

• Manage backup, archiving, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline operations.

• Stay updated with industry trends and DevOps best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and containerization technologies.

• Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
