Role Purpose

Zain Iraq Is Actively recruiting to hire a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the testing efforts for our backend, mobile, and web applications. The ideal candidate will develop and execute automated and manual test strategies, ensuring software quality, performance, and security.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python, pytest, and Selenium.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, security, and performance testing.

• Design test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on product requirements.

• Write code to generate simulated datasets and stubs for testing scenarios.

• Instrument source code to collect real-time metrics and integrate with APM dashboards.

• Identify, document, and track defects using ticketing tools.

• Collaborate with developers, customer support, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and testing conventions.

• Stay updated on industry trends and mentor junior team members.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software testing and automation.

• Strong expertise in Python, Selenium, pytest, and test automation frameworks.

• Experience with APM tools, performance monitoring, and debugging.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
