Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively Recruiting to hire a Senior Front-end Developer with expertise in modern web technologies to build scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with modern frameworks—Svelte is highly preferred. This role requires a deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, localization, and API integration.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain user-friendly, visually appealing web applications.

  • Work with Svelte (preferred) or other modern frameworks, ensuring seamless UI/UX implementation.

  • Utilize Tailwind, Bootstrap, and preprocessors (SASS/Less) to enhance styling efficiency.

  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and support for RTL/LTR localization (Arabic/Latin).

  • Integrate with RESTful and SOAP APIs to enable dynamic functionality.

  • Optimize applications for SEO, performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Work with build tools like Yarn and Vite to streamline development workflows.

  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests for application reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and refine applications to ensure high quality and performance.

  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and advocate for best practices.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and implement modern development standards

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in frontend development.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, with expertise in Svelte (preferred) or other frameworks.

  • Strong experience with CSS frameworks and preprocessors.

  • Knowledge of web accessibility, localization, and responsive design principles.

  • Familiarity with API integration (REST/SOAP) and modern development tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
