About the Role

The responsibilities of a Data Analytics Trainee include analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns and analyzing trends to make better business decisions.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist the team in undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis

• Support in building models to address a variety of business problems

• Present and display information using different data visualization techniques

• Support in analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

• Assist in mining and analyzing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

• Support in developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

• Support the team in the development, implementation and maintenance of databases.

• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python

• Familiarity with Scala, Java or C++

• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)

• Proven ability to work with others successfully within a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to liaise effectively and coordinate successfully with internal and external stakeholders and other third parties.

• Strong understanding of the operational workings of data analytics elements.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or any other related field.

• 0-2 years' experience.
