Job Title:          International Roaming settlement Team leader

Reports to:           Wholesale Settlement Senior Manager

Job Purpose

The International Roaming Settlement Team leader is accountable to the Wholesale settlement Senior Manager, for commercial and administrative support that contributes to the department’s objectives of being effective and efficient international Roaming Settlement and accounting and.

Describe the duties, and responsibilities of the role specifically in the context of the Section/Department’s activities:

  • Assure the business performance is up to the strategy, road map and the business plan

  • Managing End to End International Roaming Account & Relationship Management with Roaming partners.

  • Managing International Roaming settlement team.

  • Responsible with Roaming Wholesale about the Settlements with all Roaming Partners through Data Clearing House.

  • Provide timely executed operations, manage Roaming settlement transactions volumes and tackle operational bottlenecks

  • Responsible and Ensure that all files sent by EDCH are received and subsequently billed to the customer

  • Managing Maintain and develop documents for roaming and inter-department, Communication and communicate to the Roaming Partners

  • Manage & Ensure that reconciliation between the TAP-out file generated and the TAP-out file sent to the EDCH should be carried out.

  • Ensure that through the periodic process, all delayed/missing TAP IN TAP OUT files are identified, and corrective actions are taken on time.

  • Preparing all PRA roaming accrual reports on a monthly basis.

  • Managing & Executing monthly closing for Roaming and preparing Cost & Revenue reports.

  • Manage Roaming Payments &collections.

  • Collections and Overdue Management (Receivables), Aging Analysis, follow-ups & Controls, and achieving Collection Targets

  • Responsible for Ensuring /cross-checking proper mapping of Roaming Partners in Billing Software as per agreement

  • Managing& Responsible for the Roaming reconciliation & Dispute Management process

  • Ensure and monitor PRA usage minutes and commitment amount with Roaming wholesale and roaming retail and make sure it’s profitable.

  • Receiving EDCH invoices and ensuring that payments are made only after verification of invoices with the service owner.

  • Ensure that a periodic reconciliation process of Roaming receivables & payable between EDCH billing system

  • Responsible for analysis of the Roaming Revenues and expenses data to be useful for forecasting purposes.

  • Participate with Roaming Wholesale in the Roaming Budget and forecast exercise (3+9 & 6+6 & 9+3

  • Responsible for preparing the forecast report every ten days for all roaming business expected revenue and cost

  • Managing the Tracking of the payment Transactions and assuring they are done by EDCH on behalf of Zain Sudan.

  • Ensure the Roaming service is (DCH ) done based on the actual usage and there is no outage in the Capacity provided by the supplier before issuing the payment.

  • Coordination with Internal Departments for Roaming Settlements Completeness like Billing, Mediation, IT, Finance (Account Receivables & Account Payables & Revenue Assurance Teams)

  • Answer all enquiry which we received from Zain group, or internal or external auditors related to Roaming wholesale account

  • Make sure all trends related to Roaming wholesale accounts are tally with budget in case there is abnormal increase or decrease it has been justified. 

  • Make sure all monthly reports which is requested form our stakeholders are submitted on time.

  • Managing Collections and Overdue Management (Receivables & Payment)

  • Managing Aging Analysis, follow ups & Controls, and achieving Collection & payment Targets Prepare Again report for Roaming.

  • Develop processes procedures, activities and systems for team operation provide cotching and guidelines to roaming Settlement team members  

  • Be accountable for the achievement of the Roaming Settlement objectives, take part in settlement responsibility within Operations and ensure a high quality of service is delivered.

  • Ensuring that processes are working efficiently and are accounted for correctly.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements processes and projects with his/her business expertise area (initiatives and pro-activity).

  • Assure the required coordination with the concerned for related issues

  • Appraisal of team members’ objectives/achievements carried out on a yearly basis

 

 

 

What We Need From You?

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BSc. Of Economics, Finance, Business University degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience of settlement role in a reputed organization.

  • Good understanding of / financial legislation/regulations.

  • Demonstrable market Telecommunication knowledge and commercial acumen; and have spent significant time in the Telecom Operators in the same/related roles.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • MBA will be an advantage

Knowledge:

  • Well understanding for International Roaming Settlement.

  • Strong knowledge of Telecom services agreements and settlement procedures between Operators and carriers based on the commercial trends

  • Preparation and executing section plans including budgeting 

  • Establish and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders and other Teleco.

  • In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and ZAIN business strategy, goals, and competitive environment
