Job Title:   Partnerships &Business Development Specialist

Reports to:  Partnerships &Business Development Roaming TL

Job Purpose:

The Partnerships Roaming Specialist is accountable to the Partnerships& BD Roaming Team Leader for the effective and efficient end-to-end negotiation, management and delivery of Zain’s international roaming wholesale’s objectives.

Describe the duties, and responsibilities of the role specifically in the context of the Section/Department’s activities:

  • Participates in the strategy, roadmap, ideation, design, evaluation, launch and rollout of wholesale Roaming and International SMS business(A2P/P2P) that direct highly complex cross functional projects designed to improve customer experience, implement revenue assurance objectives and improve company metrics relevant to roaming and SMS business

  • Increase roaming revenues and decreasing cost by participate in the identification of potential preferential roaming partners, in addition to Analyze the preferred partners’ traffic and revenue in order to ensure accurate proposal for negotiation, calculations and /or implementation of the IOT discounts and their consistency with the signed contract, together with coordinating their proper management within the IT, Settlement and Finance concerned teams,

  • Handle international roaming agreements and partnership with roaming partners and administrate the required coordination with the concerned parties,

  • Analyze wholesale market potential of new SMS and International & Roaming Services technologies,

  • Conduct data analysis – including collecting data, building models, and analyzing financial, operational and/or statistical data – in order to support the process of laying down the key strategic priorities for the roaming section,

  • Monitor the financial clearing and settlement process and liaise with roaming partners for dispute resolution

  • Monitor and manage DCH & FCH issues

  • Develops budgets, forecasts, for Roaming services and relevant opex (, GRX & Signaling, LTE, IPX  ...etc.  and manages financial aspects related to roaming with settlement team .

  • Assist with Use Cases and the development of Business Models. Help ensure the right internal and external resources are appropriately engaged in a timely way in all program management efforts relevant to roaming and SMS business and Conduct project retrospectives, compile lessons learned, and integrate into processes, international standard and concern department,

  • Work closely with Marketing to support retail driven initiatives,

  • Exploring the new service and updating the  Roaming portfolio by introducing new services and Revenue Stream .

  • Manage Zain Information in the GSM info center,

Participate in representing Zain Sudan with the Group and Other Roaming institutions

What We Need From You?

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BSc. Of BA, computer science, Engineering or any relevant field 

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience of International Roaming role in a reputed organisation

  • 3years of work experience in of which should be within a comparable telecom company in a similar role where developing products and services has played a significant role

  • Demonstrable market Telecommunication knowledge and commercial acumen; and have spent significant time in the Telecom Operators in the same / related roles.

  • Must have knowledge of technology platforms

  • Must have experience of product development and management life cycles

  • Excellent command in written and spoken English

  • MBA will be an advantage.

Knowledge:

  • Preparation and executing section plans including budgeting 

  • Establish and maintain sound working relationships with stake holders and other Teleco.
