Job Title:                         Roaming Operation Wholesale Team Leader

Reports to:                        International Roaming Wholesale Manager

 

Job Purpose:

"The International Roaming Wholesale Operation Team Leader reports to the International Roaming Wholesale Manager and is responsible for providing both commercial and administrative support. This role is critical in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end negotiations, management, and execution of Zain's international roaming objectives

 

Key Accountabilities and Tasks:

  • Lead and execute the international roaming strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives, focusing on optimizing roaming and international SMS business. Ensure successful delivery from ideation to launch, enhancing performance metrics tied to roaming services.

  • Manage the end-to-end process of international roaming agreements, including negotiation, implementation, and operational delivery. Oversee traffic redirection for outbound roaming, ensuring it aligns with the overall company strategy and market demands.

  • Support the International Roaming Wholesale Manager by providing commercial and administrative support, contributing to the department's efficiency and effectiveness in meeting

  • Rollout &expanding footprint: Coordinate with cross-functional teams for the timely launch of new roaming services. Oversee the outbound roaming network traffic redirection and ensure alignment with company strategy.

  • Roaming service Management: Manage the technical aspects of Roaming service including GRX, signaling, LTE, IPX and other Roaming enablers elements ,work closely with IT &VAS teams for technical implementations and operation .

  • Quality of Service:Oversee the Quality of Roaming service,manage customer queries and complaints, and ensure the highest standards of service.Focus on improving the customer experience related to Roaming service.

  • SIM Card Inventory Management:Manging the handling SIM cards database all roaming partners' inbound and outbound and supporting SIM inventory standards and procedure

  • Steering &Traffic Management: monitoring traffic and steering efficiency in alignment with the business development team and technical team.

  • Agreements Management: Ensure all roaming services and agreements comply with international regulations. Update and manage relevant documents (e.g., IR21s, AA14) and coordinate with regulatory bodies.

 

  • Compliance : Ensure all Roaming services and agreements comply with international Regulations ,update and manage all relevant documents (e.g. IR21,AA14)and coordinate with Regulatory bodies .

  • Team Development and Management: Contribute to the effective management, motivation, and development of resources within the carrier relations team, addressing issues promptly or escalating

  • Deliver and Monitor Business Report :Ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of regular and ad hoc business report ,maintain accountability for the quality and effectiveness of this reports.

  • Reports to : International Roaming Wholesale Manager.

· Leadership Role – Minimum 4 years of professional experience in international roaming with proven expertise in managing complex operations.

·  Team Leadership: Ensure effective performance and development of the team, driving results in line with strategic objectives.

·  Stakeholder Management: Responsible for effective collaboration with internal departments (DCH, Finance, etc.) and external partners (Signaling Providers, Carrier Relations) to enhance operational efficiency.

·  Financial Analysis: Provide comprehensive analysis of financial policies, ensure adherence to audit processes, and contribute to budgeting and financial planning

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications/Experience:

·  Education: BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field. An MBA is an advantage.

·  Experience: Minimum of 4 years in an International Roaming role within a reputable organization, with significant experience in telecommunications and commercial functions.

·  Language Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English.

·  Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English.

·  An MBA is considered an advantage.
