Job Title: Capacity Management Team Leader
Reports to: Carriers Relation Wholesale Manager
Job Purpose:
The Capacity Management Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading Zain Sudan's capacity agreements, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management across the team. Key responsibilities include strategic analysis, negotiation, relationship management, and monitoring capacity utilization. The Team Leader collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize service quality, manage costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in driving initiatives that maximize benefits and reduce costs for the company, while also leading and motivating the team to achieve departmental goals.
Key Accountabilities and Tasks:
· Align Department Strategy: Participate in executing the department's strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Zain's overall business plan.
· Capacity Managment: Responsible for managing and handling the process of ensuring that network resources are sufficient to meet current and future demands for services.
Demand Forecasting: Coordinates with Technology to Analyse current usage patterns and predict future demand based on trends, new service introductions, and customer behavior.
· Manage Service Provider Relationships: Oversee the management of business relationships with all service providers and partners, ensuring strong and effective collaboration.
· Evaluate and Execute Capacity Orders: Oversee the evaluation and execution of new interconnect agreements with carriers, covering legal, regulatory, commercial, and technical aspects. This includes preparing, executing, and following up on capacity orders, as well as verifying invoices related to these agreements.
· Lead Capacity and Leased Line Projects: Lead Zain's leased line, capacity projects, and submarine cable operations, aiming to expand Zain's backbone, enhance redundancy, and optimize cost efficiency.
Procuring & Resource allocation: handling the purchasing process of capacity and carrying BC, tendering evaluation Allocate network resources (bandwidth, infrastructure) based on current and forecasted demands to ensure optimal performance.
Capacity Planning::
Develop strategic plans for upgrading infrastructure, expanding capacity, and investing in new technologies.
Collaborate with different departments (e.g., engineering, operations) to align capacity plans with business objectives..
Submarine cables Business Management: handling submarine cable business end-to-end activities from planning phase till Ready for service and its operation and capacity sales.
Colocation & Hosting: handling end-to-end colocation and hosting business with international parties and national operators.
Contract Management: managing all leased , colocation , hosting, and capacity sales contracts
· Ensure Business Performance: Monitor and ensure that business performance aligns with the department's strategy, roadmap, and Zain’s business objectives.
· Risk Management: Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to plan business activities that minimize the risk of destabilization as the Zain customer base grows and the business expands.
· Contingency Planning: Understand and regularly review contingency plans to mitigate risks as the business expands.
· Financial Accountability: Accountable for achieving financial targets related to capacity management, including cost management and adherence to KPIs.
· Process and Procedure Development: Develop and optimize processes, procedures, activities, and systems for team operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, including regulatory requirements related to information security.
· Team Development and Management: Contribute to the effective management, motivation, and development of resources within the carrier relations team, addressing issues promptly or escalating as necessary.
· Deliver and Monitor Business Reports: Ensure the timely delivery and accuracy of regular and ad hoc business reports, maintaining accountability for the quality and effectiveness of these reports

·Financial Accountability: Accountable for managing leased and capacity costs, and ensuring all KPIs related to capacity management are met.
Supplier Management: Responsible for the management of third-party suppliers and contractors.
What We Need From You?
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications/Experience:
· Education: BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field. An MBA is an advantage.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field, with demonstrable knowledge in telecommunications and commercial aspects.
Language Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English

· Stakeholder Relationships: Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and other telecom operators.
· Market and Strategic Insight: In-depth understanding of the Sudan telecom market and Zain's business strategy, goals, and competitive environment.
Analytical Skills: High analytical skills with relevant IT understanding, especially related to telecom network architecture and functionality..
