Reports to:                     Commercial PMO Team Leader

 

Job Purpose:

The Commercial PMO Specialist is responsible for the strategic implementation of project management frameworks throughout Zain. This position plays a crucial role in prioritizing and overseeing cross-functional project management within the Commercial Department and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the organizations and commercial’s overarching strategies. The specialist leverages contemporary project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, to facilitate successful project delivery and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities and Tasks:

As a Commercial PMO Specialist, you will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

• Support the business through the application of project portfolio management for all strategic and tactical projects through a clear project time plan and process.

• Closely track progress & perform assessments of roadmap & non-roadmap projects regarding delivery and/or delivery threats in CFT’s and other related meetings to increase & enhance timely completion of projects.

• Provide Project Management Reporting and Compliance

• Define requirements, design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards with general project information, project status and compliance.

• Run & improve the communication of projects status and escalate to top management when necessary.

• Monitor and analyze project progress and compliance, and proactively advise management of deviations, risks and issues

• Engage with project stakeholders to discuss status of new and ongoing projects

• Anticipate the gaps in projects and in the commercial area and manage resolutions through CFT’s and with concerned team members.

• Update Project Plans and produce status reports on frequent basis and make proper recommendations including corrective actions if needed

• Manage PMO related meetings, produce reports needed to run those meetings and manage actions items and follow up its closure with the concerned stakeholders.

• Manage the post launch analysis of the Commercial projects with special focus on strategic projects.

• Provide periodic and ad Hoc reports on projects and performance, project management process maintain SLAs agreed with different stakeholders

• Provide support to project teams to help project owners to execute their strategic goals.

• Continuously improve project management standards and best practices in the organization to standardize the implementation process to increase the project success rate and reduce costs.

• Become a center of project management excellence for business support particularly in “delayed projects” and provide a single point of knowledge & information for all departments

  • Stakeholder satisfaction and feedback on project management processes: Gauging stakeholder satisfaction ensures that the project management approach aligns with the needs of the business and its stakeholders.

  • Improvements in project success rate through standardized methodologies: This reflects the effectiveness of implementing best practices and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

  • Scope of Work: Manages a portfolio of strategic and tactical projects that drive commercial objectives. Projects may vary in size and complexity, with a focus on timely delivery and quality outcomes.

  • Market Scope: Primarily focused on the Sudan market, with potential collaboration on regional initiatives within Zain.

-Percentage of projects delivered on time and within budget.

-Number of projects delayed and effectiveness of corrective measures implemented.

  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with potential remote work options. May require occasional travel to support project initiatives.

What We Need From You

Personal Specifications

Qualifications/Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, Computer science or related discipline).

• Qualifications: Professional qualifications in commercial/business management and project management are mandatory.

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a senior commercial role within the private sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of project management principles.

• Certifications: Project Management certification (PMP, Agile ,PRINCE2) is preferred.

• International Experience: International management experience is an advantage.

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
