Job Title:    User Experience & User Interface Specialist

Reports to: User Experience & User Interface Design Team Leader

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. Also collaborate with UX researchers to discover insights through customer research and usability studies by applying innovative thinking to deliver a delightful and seamless customer experience.

Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with UX researchers on UX research and UX design process to assess user digital behavior.

  2. Collaborate on synthesizing and communicating research findings and insights to inform actionable decisions to different stakeholders and help to shape long-term product and CX strategy.

  3. Translate UX research findings into wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

  4. Create original and contextualized visual designs (e.g., illustrations, sketches and icons).

  5. Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital products.

  6. Design micro interactions and animations throughout the app’s navigation journey, CTA’s, and other various UI elements.

  7. Utilize UX research and customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into UI design to enhance the overhaul user experience.

  8. Contribute to the establishment of Zain’s UI Design system while adhering to the corporate brand standards on typography and graphic design.

  9. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in relevant departments to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for Zain’s digital products users.

  10. Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, against a set of predefined UX metrics.

  11. Perform validation usability testing to determine whether features and products have met business and usability objectives and conduct layout adjustments based on findings.

  12. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.

Synthesize, report, and advocate:

  1. Translate research findings into actionable, prioritized recommendations.

  2. Document and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and technologists.

  3. Responsible for reporting needs and status of assigned tasks.

  4. Responsible for the security, Confidentiality & Integrity, of all information assets within his/her responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Information Security Policies.

What We Need From You

Qualifications/ Experience

-          Bsc in Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other relevant field.  

-          Minimum of proven 2-years of relevant work experience as UX/UI Designer or similar role.

-          A portfolio of professional UX/UI design work for both web and mobile platforms.

-          Up-to-date working knowledge of prototyping, wireframing, and design software (e.g. Adobe XD, Figma, Principle, Sketch).

-          Exceptional ability to synthesize multiple inputs (reporting data, metrics, qualitative and quantitative insights) to arrive at recommendations that deliver customer-centric designs.

Knowledge:

-          Best practices for cultivating a customer-focused culture.

-          Task analysis, user profiling, & usability testing.

-          Customer journey mapping and touch point analysis.

-          Exposure to Agile Methodology and practices desired

-          CX best practices across industries.

-          Excellent Reports writing & Project management skills.

-          Good knowledge of animation software is a plus.
