About the Role

Department/Section: Operations            

Job Title:  Team Leader – (User Experience & User Interface Design Team Leader)

Reports to: Manager - Experience Design

Job Purpose: To lead all activities pertained to the design of identified customer experience journeys for the targeted segments, and creating useful & delightful UI/UX, interaction designs, & experiences for an application or website, in a team environment. Promoting the adoption of design systems across the organization, to maximizing customers' happiness and helping Zain SD to be the "wonderful world".

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing the action plan for identifying and mapping the most significant touch points at the customer experience journey/s, and lead, measure & enhance their performance.

  2. Ensuring that our technology platforms provide seamless customer experience interaction across multiple channels.

  3. Creating alignment between CX, Technology, & Commercial teams.

  4. Design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop and web-based applications, and ease of use best practices.   

  5. Help build out design processes, tools, and culture.

  6. Design and prototype elegant solutions for web and mobile apps.

  7. Design journey maps, personas, navigation design, sitemaps, information architecture, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes.

  8. Enhance user experience by creating seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces within the company.

  9. Ensure that UX teams align their direction with their organization’s business plan.

  10. Maintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends.

  11. Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both.

  12. Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences.

  13. Work with the UX researcher to identify users’ needs and understand how users consume and navigate content.

  14. Plan and design the information architecture for the website or app; what information should go where? Which elements are more important and should be given priority?

  15. Collaborate with Product management team, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales to develop a core understanding of user personas.

  16. Build relationships across the organization to build relationships that help the UX design effort succeed.

  17. Assist product management and feature teams in defining functional interaction requirements specifications.  

  18. Work with other UX practitioners to conduct customer studies of mockups, prototypes and existing interfaces; and iterate designs based on usability test results.

  19. Create and implement content plans.

  20. Supervising all activities related to internal processes optimization.

  21. Communicating and engaging employees at all levels of the organization in the elements of the CX/ UX strategy.

  22. Identify key UX metrics for tracking experience quality, satisfaction, and engagement.

  23. Responsible for the team’s performance evaluation and development.

  24. Leading, coaching, motivating and problem resolution for the team members, to build and maintain a positive relation among them.

  25. Working with management to identify effective solutions for operational issues and responsible about any other tasks required by direct Manager, Director, and Top Management.

  26. Perform other duties as required by his-her manager.

  27. Responsible for the security, Confidentiality & Integrity, of all information assets within his/her responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Information Security Policies.

 

What We Need From You

Qualifications/Experience

-             BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field

-             Minimum 3 years of UI/UX or relevant experience.

-             Experience in UX design, with a strong emphasis on visual design.

-             Exposure to Agile Methodology and practices desired.

-             Solid user interface prototyping experience, with proficiency utilizing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustration, InVision and Sketch.

-             Professional written and interpersonal skills, & ability to communicate fluently in Arabic & English with different stakeholders.

-             Proven leadership skills involving: Managing, Developing and Motivating teams to achieve their objectives.

Knowledge:

-          Best practices for cultivating a customer-focused culture.

-          User-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.

-          UI, Interaction design, & Visual design specifications.

-          Internal and external marketing, promotion, and communications.

-          Reward and recognition strategies

-          Customer journey mapping and touch point analysis.

-          CX best practices across industries.

-          Business strategy frameworks and planning.

-          Excellent Reports writing & Project management skills.

-  Ability to identify and create design system patterns, components, design tokens and recipes that are appropriate and consumable by app dev teams across the organization.

- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, and the ability to explain complex matters and interact effectively with management and employees.

- Highly developed Presentation and reporting skills (verbal and written).

-  Ability to lead cross functional efforts, & manage change.
