About the Role
The DevOps Analyst will play a vital role in our team, assisting in the development and maintenance of our end-to-end toolchain and automation scripts. They will collaborate with the team to ensure continuous integration, testing, security, and deployment processes are efficient and effective. The DevOps Analyst will also provide support to application teams, helping them implement cloud-native designs and best practices. This role requires strong scripting skills, knowledge of infrastructure resources, and familiarity with deployment tools and containerization technologies
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Assist in the development and maintenance of the end-to-end DevSecOps Toolchain, including:
– continuous integration
– continuous testing
– continuous security
– continuous deployment
– source code management
– infrastructure as code.
Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain automation scripts for DevOps processes.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing scripts.
Support the development and maintenance of RBA (Robotic Process Automation) bots.
Assist in the governance and maintenance of Application Performance Management (APM) tooling.
Participate in the governance and maintenance of cloud-native (Kubernetes) platforms.
Support the development of custom Kubernetes operators to meet automation needs.
Provide assistance to application teams regarding cloud-native design and best practices.
Serve as the main interface between application teams and other technology domains, such as infrastructure and security.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to DevOps practices.
Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait
What We Need From You
To be considered for the position, you will need to meet with all of the below requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Computer science, computer engineering or a related field
Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go Language.
Understanding of various types of infrastructure resources.
Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Basic knowledge of relational databases.
Familiarity with deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Spinnaker, etc.
Basic knowledge of "Infrastructure as Code" tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Basic understanding of monitoring concepts.
Ability to drive the automation of reputative tasks.
Deploying software solutions.
Proficiency and understanding of agile methodology.
System support process specific to telecom industry.
High reliability in executing tasks within expected timeframe and to expected quality standards
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and frame key issues
Ability to communicate and translate technical solutions to internal stakeholders across the company
