Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire a UI/UX Senior Developer who will lead the design and execution of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) strategies across all digital platforms, including mobile apps and web channels. This role is crucial to ensuring seamless, user-friendly, and aesthetically appealing experiences for Zain Iraq's customers. The UI/UX Senior Developer will research user needs, develop prototypes, and deliver final designs that align with Zain Iraq’s branding and UI/UX best practices.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct user research to identify customer needs, pain points, and behaviours. Utilize methods such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and data analytics to gather actionable insights.

• Translate research findings into design opportunities, ensuring the user’s voice is central to the development of UI/UX solutions.

• Lead design thinking workshops to foster collaborative ideation sessions, involving stakeholders from cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, IT).

• Identify and apply the most effective UX methodologies (such as journey mapping, personas, and wireframing) to create data-driven, user-centric designs.

• Ensure iterative design processes are followed, enabling continuous testing and improvement of user experiences.

• Create comprehensive user journey maps to understand and visualize how customers interact with Zain Iraq’s digital products across different touchpoints.

• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that clearly communicate the design direction, functionality, and user flows of digital products.

• Design user interfaces for Zain Iraq’s digital platforms, ensuring they are visually appealing, aligned with branding guidelines, and easy to navigate.

• Produce high-fidelity prototypes that showcase the look, feel, and functionality of the app and web interfaces.

• Ensure that all designs adhere to responsive design principles, ensuring optimal experiences across devices (mobile, tablet, desktop).

• Collaborate closely with Zain Iraq’s internal teams, including marketing, product, and technology, to ensure alignment on user experience goals.

• Work with third-party vendors and developers to guide the translation of design concepts into functional digital products. Ensure designs are implemented correctly by overseeing UI/UX during the development process.

• Ensure that all digital interfaces adhere to Zain Iraq’s branding guidelines, delivering a consistent brand experience across channels.

• Continuously review and update UI/UX components to ensure that they remain aligned with emerging trends and customer expectations while maintaining a cohesive visual language.

• Regularly audit existing digital interfaces to identify usability issues and areas for improvement.

• Lead usability testing efforts, both during development and post-launch, to validate design decisions and ensure that digital products meet user expectations.

• Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX design trends, tools, and best practices. Identify innovative solutions that can enhance user satisfaction and product performance.

• Advocate for user-centred design practices across the organization and promote the importance of UI/UX in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Track and report on the performance of digital interfaces, using analytics tools to measure user engagement, conversion rates, and other key metrics.

• Use performance data to continuously refine and optimize user interfaces, ensuring maximum effectiveness and satisfaction.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Interaction design, visual communication design, computer science, or related field

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of creating user-centered digital products.

• Experience designing for mobile-first and responsive web applications.

• Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, UX research methodologies, and usability testing techniques.

• Ability to balance creative thinking with practical execution, ensuring designs are both visually appealing and functional.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders, ensuring designs are executed as intended.
