Role Purpose

Zain Iraq is Actively recruiting to hire Radio Optimization Senior engineer who is responsible for monitoring network delivery to ensure managed services providers are performing as per agreements. They also report on faults and problems and implement corrective action.

Key Accountabilities

• Understand Network Planning, Roll-Out and Operations Strategies and plans and participate in the achievement of objectives and targets

• Implement the Network Planning, Rollo-Out and Operations policies and procedures

• Keep abreast of the latest networking technologies

• Contribute to the effective achievement of Departmental objectives through following up on individual objectives, performance reviews, formal and informal feedback and appraisals to maximize subordinate and Department performance

• Assist in radio network planning (2G, 3G, 4G) including resource planning

• Implement the Transport (voice and data) in line with the Technology Strategy

• Assist in the development of core (Voice and Data) network design in line with the Technology Strategy

• Coordinate for the resolution of coverage gaps issues promptly

• Assist in monitoring IN traffic and forecasts and the development of capacity plans for platforms

• Assist in the development of roll-out/decommissioning plans for all IN products

• Assist in the coordination with the managed services provider for network optimization and efficiency to achieve customer satisfaction

• Process 2G,3G & 4G DT Logfile (SSV/Cluster) by using TEMS , Nemo, GENEX assistant or equivalent Post Processing Tools.

• Analyse the Layer-3 messages through Post Processing Tools.

• Do the event analysis and generate the recommendations (Physical/Parameter/Features etc) for necessary improvement of bad patches or event failure.

• Generate the recommendations in terms of Performance Reports (Drive test KPI Reports) to improve the failed KPIs.

• Coordinate the drive test activities.

• Provide suggestions and recommendations to improve the network's key parameters

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science-related field or equivalent

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year in a similar role
