About the Role

The role of the Technical Procurement & Logistics Specialist specializes in the purchasing of products and services pursuant to company department requirements and addressing logistic, in a timely and cost-effective manner, this role will involve coordinating with vendors, managing contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Main Responsibilities and Duties
  • Technically assess the procurement of technical goods such as towers, Software, hardware, telecom equipment, etc. This includes:

-Evaluating the technical specifications and compatibility of equipment with the company's network infrastructure.

-Conducting technical due diligence & Benchmark on vendors and their products.

-Identifying potential technical risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

-Ensuring that procured equipment meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Lead efforts to competitively procure all goods and services for the company.

  • Maintaining an understanding of marketplace trends and pricing, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology roadmaps.

  • Ensure standardization in all procurement activities in accordance with the company’s Sourcing and Procurement Policies.

  • Responsible for turnkey procurement cycle from supplier’s offers comparison, negotiation, to placing purchase orders

  • Responsible for coordinating with requestor departments to ensure documentation provided in accordance with Procurement Sourcing Policies and Process.

  • Ensure Purchase Orders are processed in accordance with agreed KPIs

  • Ensure requestor departments are made aware of progress and delivery times

  • Maintain records of all procurement cycle documentation

  • Maintain records of all signed supplier contracts

  • Maintain up-to-date supplier database

  • Perform any other related duties that may be required or assigned.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Good knowledge and experience in local and foreign market

  • Knowledge of the Telecommunication industrys procurement related practices.

  • Budgeting and Reporting

  • Cost Management

  • Oracle System

  • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Negotiation skills

  • Technology & Network Products \ services knowledge

  • Strong understanding of technical equipment and materials used in telecommunications networks.

  • Contract management

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Communications, and Telecom Engineering, Procurement, Logistics or any relevant field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Technical Procurement & Logistics. preferably in the telecommunications industry.
