Role Purpose
Zain Iraq is actively recruiting to hire Internal Audit Business & Finance Head of Department who is responsible for auditing/overseeing Zain Group’s business and finance processes to ensure the practices in place adhere to set quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
Create and document best practice business and finance processes. Ensure these reflect internal audit policies and procedures.
Evaluate existing financial reporting techniques for internal audit controls.
Work closely with Group Finance & Business process owners to evaluate existing practices and to set in place best practice frameworks.
Work closely with the Operating Countries (OpCos) to ensure these best practices are cascaded through Group Finance & Business process owners.
Set in place governance models to ensure operational efficiencies.
Plan and execute internal audit projects and create recommendations based on findings, both at Group and/or at OpCo level.
Prepare and present audit reports and follow up procedures for organization stakeholders.
To perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, and to report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to Data Control Department immediately. In addition, to ensure that all team members are following mentioned policies.
Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait.
Zain abides by fulfilling the occupational health and safety certificate requirements that establishes and maintains an O&HS management system that eliminate hazards and minimizes OH&S risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OH&S opportunities and addresses OH&S management system nonconformities associated with its activities.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related fields of Finance, Business Administration or relevant major.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 7 years in a similar role.
Knowledge
Strong knowledge of finance and financial reporting, in addition to also strong business processes acumen.
Ability to communicate financial terms to organizational stakeholders for understanding and alignment.
Understanding the software development process of carrier-class software, including software lifecycle management, automation, and integration.
