Job Title:                                            Handset Marketing Specialist

Reports to:                                         CPE and Handset Marketing Team Leader

Job Purpose:

The Customers Analytics Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Handsets. This includes defining market needs, identifying specifications, managing procurement ensuring delivery to the warehouse and defining the product offering. The role also involves seeking strategic partnerships to enhance product value and delivery.

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

  1. Define market requirements and product specifications based on research.

  2. Develop detailed product specifications and requirements. And work with engineering and to ensure compliance with ZAIN standards.

  3. Work closely with procurement Source and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers and Manage relationships with key suppliers and partners.

  4. Oversee the simulation and testing of handsets in Coordination with CX to ensure product quality.

  5. Manage logistics and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with warehousing and distribution teams for inventory management. Monitor and report on delivery performance and metrics.

  6. Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive awareness, adoption, and sales of Handsets.

  7. Define and articulate the unique value propositions of ZAIN Handsets products, ensuring clear and compelling messaging across all marketing channels.

  8. Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders, and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.

  9. Manage the marketing budget for Handsets products, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

    10.  Liaise closely with colleagues in own team and department i.e. corporate Sales and Customer Service and cross-departmentally i.e. Operations and IT and Billing to ensure integrated approaches to optimize capacity and service to drive up customer satisfaction and retention.

    11.  Contribute to strategy, policy and process development to improve the overall effectiveness of Sales and Marketing.

    12.  Contribute to delivery of product knowledge training to sales and customer service staff.

    13.  Responsible for the security, Confidentiality & Integrity, of all information assets within his/her responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Information Security Policies.

    14.  Preparation of reports and analysis with regards to devices under his/ her responsibility.

    15.  Responsible for product profitability, product development as mentioned in the KPI.

    16.   Participate on the preparation of analysis, reports on terminals on weekly, monthly bases as well as ad-hoc reports, as well as responsibility of competitive intelligence by monitoring the competition activities and come up with targeted promotions/offers.

    17.  Provide detailed monthly revenue analysis and reports for the terminals and delegated product portfolio.

What We Need From You

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 2 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on technology or telecommunications products.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of broadband and telecommunications industry trends and technologies.

  • Strong negotiation and partnership management abilities.

  • Proficient in digital marketing and analytics tools.

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment

  • Knowledge of current best practice market research methods and approaches

  • Relevant IT understanding

  • Mobile Telecommunications and product knowledge

Skills:

  • Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written)

  • Planning analysis skills

  • Highly developed skills in use of relevant IT packages including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint etc.
