Job Title:                                            Customers Analytics Specialist

Reports to:                                         Customers Analytics Team Leader

Job Purpose:

The Customers Analytics Specialist is responsible for analyzing marketing data to provide actionable insights that support strategic marketing decisions, improve customer engagement, and optimize campaign performance

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze marketing campaign performance data, customer behavior data, and market trends to derive actionable insights.

    • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

    • Monitor and evaluate KPIs to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

  2. Customer Segmentation and Targeting:

    • Develop and maintain customer segmentation models to enable targeted marketing campaigns.

    • Use data analytics to identify high-value customer segments and opportunities for personalized marketing strategies.

    • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize messaging and offers based on customer segments.

  3. Campaign Performance Optimization:

    • Optimize marketing campaigns through A/B testing, segmentation analysis, and performance monitoring.

    • Provide insights to improve campaign targeting, messaging, and conversion rates.

    • Work closely with digital marketing teams to optimize online campaigns and customer journeys.

  4. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and potential threats.

    • Provide insights and recommendations based on market data to support strategic decision-making.

  5. Data Management and Integration:

    • Manage and maintain marketing databases and ensure data integrity.

    • Integrate data from multiple sources to create a unified view for analysis and reporting.

    • Work with IT and data teams to improve data collection processes and systems.

  6. Technology and Tools Utilization:

    • Utilize advanced analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Tableau) to conduct analysis and visualization.

    • Stay updated on the latest marketing analytics technologies and best practices.

    • Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.

  7. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and IT to align analytics efforts with business goals.

    • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.

    • Communicate complex technical findings and insights to non-technical audiences.

What We Need From You

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

  • 3 years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably within the telecom industry

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, R, Python, Tableau, or similar.

  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Ability to speak and write Arabic and English essential

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment

  • Knowledge of current best practice market research methods and approaches

  • Relevant IT understanding

  • Mobile Telecommunications and product knowledge

Skills:

  • Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written)

  • Highly developed skills in use of relevant IT packages including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint etc.
