About the Role

To manage Zain Bahrain’s Billing Sub-System (BSS) transformation project across different divisions whilst delivering:

• Transforming and migrating the legacy billing system to the new.

• Ensure on time delivery, within budget and as per business requirement.

• Keep management and project community informed about the project status and risks.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Provides project governance:  handle overarching structure and support.

  2. Responsible for drafting the overall project plan detailing the key milestones with their status, deviations from the plan, and upcoming tasks.

  3. Project Performance: Track project health, identify roadblocks, and report on project progress to stakeholders.

  4. Assign the Project under each unit and lead the members towards project objectives (Project Charter).

  5. Project Support: Provide support to individual project managers by offering guidance, resource allocation assistance, and training on PM tools and processes.

  6. Serves as a bridge to the steering committee (schedule for the steerco meetings to share the progress report)

  7. Handle problem resolution with the project team

  8. Risk Management: Identify risks, issues, project barriers and help in resolutions (conflict resolution, scope disagreement, project delay, risks not being managed)

  9. Knowledge Management: Maintain a central repository of lessons learned, and best practices for future reference. (Proper archiving of technical documents).

What We Need From You:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Management/ Technical or any relevant field of study.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the telecom industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Leading complex Projects is a plus (IT and, or BSS transformation projects and other Telco Projects)

  • Strong understanding of BSS functionalities (billing, customer management, service provisioning etc.).

  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).

  • Strong background about Mobile technology and industry preferably technical background

  • Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.

  • Flexible work and leadership style to maximize team performance

  • Demonstrated executive presence - able to develop rapport with all levels of the organization and lead where appropriate

  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, of different cultural and national background;

  • Work smart - Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven work environment

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Contract Duration:

This position is temporary with a 6 months assignment.
