About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate candidate to be providing detailed advice and guidance to the company on all aspects of legal matters including reviewing contracts and agreements and subsequently providing advice and recommendation aiming to ensure the company’s interest is protected and the optimal commercial position is maintained and following up on the company cases at the courts.

Main Responsibilities, will include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing legal input to the company’s negotiations with legal third parties such as legal and commercial entities regarding the company agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with Zain’s strategic goals.

  • Preparing and reviewing the company’s contracts and ensuring their compliance with governmental laws and set terms and conditions.

  • Providing counsel and legal advice to concerned departments on the laws and legislations associated with their scope of work to increase the efficiency of proper decision-making.

  • Studying and analyzing bids and proposals to ensure that terms of binding agreements with customers, vendors, and employees are legal and compliant with the company’s policy.

  • Participating in contractual negotiations and establishing and maintaining a trusted relationship with service providers.

  • Maintaining and archiving relevant documents, agreements, litigations and contracts for future reference.

  • Draft Legal Correspondences.

  • Provide corporate law advices and establishing new companies and follow up on the existing companies.

  • Follow up on trademarks registration.

  • Conduct due diligence.

  • Following up on external lawyers in litigation and other legal matters concerning the Companies' business.

  • Represent the company in all lawsuits, and manage all phases of the litigation from the investigation, drafting the statement of claim, drafting the statement of defendant, pleadings, meeting with witnesses, the pre-trial procedures, trial procedures, settlement, and appeal processes and provide litigation and mediation support and attending before the judges.

  • Keep Company advised on updates and changes to such legal and regulatory obligations.

  • Follow up on subsidies and sister companies.

  • Assist startup companies the company sponsoring.

  • Provide legal training and awareness sessions to the company employees and internal departments.

What We Need From You

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to comply with all of the below requirements:

Holds a bachelor’s degree in Law.

Preferred: 3 years of relevant experience.
