About the Role
Job Purpose:
To develop/manage the MASS segment. This job responsibility lies under monitoring/enhancing yearly KPI’s (Airtime Revenue/MOU, New activations, Gross Additions, Churn, Returnees, and Market Share). It also involves maintaining a healthy balance within the segment
Key Tasks/Accountabilities:
Identifying the segment and sizing the potential value and customers.
Develop & maintain an expert level of customer insight for the given segment across preferences, lifestyle, needs & purchasing criteria…etc.
Understand the objectives for the segment, including customer satisfaction, customer volumes & net adds, revenues & margins
Develop relevant, innovative & exciting customer value propositions for the segment, incorporating pricing recommendations, customer experience, VAS, loyalty & lifestyle benefits, branding & comm., device, & sales channels
To ensure all relevant product & service lines (e.g. mobile voice & data, VAS, SMS…etc.) are included/aligned in the segment marketing plans and propositions
Plan and manage all activities related to advertising and promotion with the marcom, PR, media, event, sales, digital and P&S teams
To ensure a close business performance monitoring of the segment, including satisfaction levels, usage, service adoption, churn, ARPU, revenues & margins
Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
Provide regular reports on campaign effectiveness and target performance
Prepare and implement 12 month roadmap for the segment in line with commercial and marketing strategy
To manage CVM tool & define a BTL cross / up-selling & retention strategy, ensuring delivery
Continuously monitor competition offers & promotions & analyse market competitiveness of Zain packages/promos/offers, then come record and come up with recommendations.
Prepare annual budget/re-forecast and business plan for the segment
Identify the segment (slow Opt in’s) and dissatisfaction factors and prepare responses to enhance acquisition
Manage and coordinate with sales department on upfront commission scheme, and continuously monitor direct impact on newly customers and values
Monitor success of segment based on factors such as market appealing, serviceability, cost…
Set/develop pricing scheme with the vendor/supplier for cost reduction on multiple of handsets/devices
18. Manage and implement all strategic responsibility as highlighted in annual strategic plan
Responsible for the security, Confidentiality & Integrity, of all information assets within his/her responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Information Security Policies.
Train/lead & coach MASS segment team on all above tasks

Dimensions:
Marketing role – needs 5 years relevant experience
Contribution to Management of Annual Marketing Plan & strategies, policies and processes
What We Need From You
Qualifications/Experience:
MBA or Business degree or B.Sc. in Economics or relevant field.
At least 5 years of relevant marketing or commercial product development and management
Relevant professional Marketing/Business qualification essential
International Leadership experience is preferred
Team management experience is highly required
Should have previous strong track record of success in major new product launches
Ability to professionally speak and write Arabic and English essential
Sound Knowledge of current best practice methodologies around product development, business analysis, market research methods and approaches.
Relevant IT understanding
Mobile Telecommunications and product knowledge.
Planning analysis skills.
Knowledge:
Good understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment
Knowledge of current best practice market research methods and approaches
