About the Role
Job Purpose:
To be fully accountable for maximising the revenue of SMS & Me2U, and manage the retail international Roaming and International calls products and maintain a positive margin by developing profitable new products/services from concept through to product launch.
Key Tasks/Accountabilities:
Participate in Planning, Rollout and Managing product and services (Me2U, SMS, MMS, , USSD, etc) roadmap in line with annual and long-term marketing strategy that should deliver business objectives in terms of revenue, unique users, differentiation, unique selling points and competitive edge.
Manage Roaming and International calls Products and ensure the profitability of each service, thorough monitoring the cost components, and forex rates
Use data analysis to maintain a positive margins for Roaming and put actions and prepare reports to present the results.
Use Market research and the historical data to understand price elasticity of products within target segments.
Participate in Defining Prices and the targeted segment for SMS , Me2U and Roaming services and recommend on how to penetrate the market and the way of communication channels that should be used.
Provide detailed monthly revenue analysis and reports for the responsible services.
Provide detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports for all products and services progress.
Manage all the stakeholders to complete projects on time and within budget.
Monitor market for the latest development in technology, competition, consumer usage and uptake trends, regulatory changes, etc. and identify the impact and/or application of such development on product strategy.
Analyze all sources of data to identify customer needs, requirements and behavior which can be translated into profitable business opportunities i.e. SMS & Roaming Services.
Propose & drive a comprehensive plan for the all segments focusing on customer growth, revenue and ARPU stimulation. Actively capture & develop ideas for new propositions &/or products that satisfy all segment needs.
Pull together the requirements identified during the requirements capture process and obtain stakeholder and management approval to the intended Service Proposal / Scope of Work.
Work Closely with Engineering, IT, Finance, Customer Care & Sales departments in the performance of a full feasibility study in order to define and communicate the methodology by which the agreed functional requirements shall be delivered.
Provide properly assessed awareness and communication requirements and then work with communication team, direct and indirect channels to ensure such requirements are met on time.
Undertake other relevant duties/responsibilities as delegated by line manager.

What We Need From You
Dimensions:
Specialist Marketing role – needs 2-3 years relevant experience.
Has responsibility for at least 1 major product and multiple sub-products/services.
Contribution to development of Annual Marketing Plan and development of marketing strategies, policies and processes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications/Experience:
B.Sc in Economics or relevant field.
3 years experience in business development.
Relevant professional Marketing/Business qualification essential
Previous experience of Product Manager role in a private sector organisation essential.
International management experience preferred
Should have previous strong track record of success in major new product launches
Ability to speak and write Arabic and English essential
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of all elements of Product Life-Cycle Management and the Marketing Mix
Good understanding of the Sudan market and ZAIN business strategy, goals and competitive environment
In-depth knowledge of current best practice market research methods and approaches
Relevant IT understanding.
In-depth Mobile Telecommunications product knowledge.
