Role Purpose

This role is for a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee deploying new GSM sites from start to finish. Will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from site acquisition and permitting to equipment installation and commissioning. As a full-turnkey deployment manager, Candidate will ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilites

1. Site acquisition and leasing:

• Collect site requirements for radio access planning and Infrastructure Development in coordination with the planning department.

• Communicate the plan to the contractors and ensure compliance with acquisition guidelines and procedures.

• Validate ground lease documents with relevant departments (legal, governmental relations, and finance).

• Track acquisition progress and control exemption cases with proper verification processes.

2. Project planning and management:

• Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Managing all project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, vendors and support functions within the organisation.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

• Permitting and approvals:

• Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals from directorates in coordination with the government relations department.

3. Site design and engineering:

• Working with engineers to design the cell site layout and infrastructure.

• Overseeing the procurement of all necessary equipment and materials.

• Follow equipment and materials delivery and transportation with logistic teams and suppliers

4. Construction management:

• Managing the construction process, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

• Oversee contractor's work, approve/sign off completed work orders, report on contractor performance and provide feedback reports.

5. Equipment installation and commissioning:

• Overseeing the installation and testing of all site equipment.

• Ensuring the site is operational and meets all performance specifications.

6. Project handover and documentation:

• Completing all project documentation and handover procedures.

• Providing ongoing support and maintenance to the operational team.

Education, Experience, and Competencies

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science-related field or equivalent

Experience        

• A minimum of +5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a similar role
