About the Role

We are looking for a motivated & passionate candidate to be responsible of designing and optimizing the Radio Access Network infrastructure of a mobile network to guarantee efficient and reliable wireless communication services, by ensuring that the mobile network can support the increasing demand for wireless connectivity.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Design and dimension the RAN infrastructure, including base stations, antennas, and associated equipment, to meet capacity and coverage requirements. This involves calculating the number and placement of cell sites and their configuration.

  • Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to predict future capacity requirements. Ensure that the network can handle peak loads and growing user demands.

  • Optimize cell site locations and antenna parameters to provide seamless coverage and minimize signal interference. Ensure efficient use of spectrum resources.

  • Manage and allocate radio frequency spectrum resources efficiently to avoid interference and congestion while maximizing network performance.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate network performance metrics, such as call drop rates, signal quality, and data throughput. Identify and rectify issues that affect network performance.

  • Use specialized software and tools to simulate network performance, predict future needs, and assess the impact of changes or upgrades.

  • Plan and execute network expansion and upgrades as needed, including the addition of new cell sites, equipment, or technologies.

  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving network issues, including interference, coverage gaps, and performance degradation.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of network design, performance data, and changes made to the RAN infrastructure.

  • Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.

What We Need From You

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Preferred 2 years of relevant experience.
