Report to: Buildings Facilities Team Leader

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Solve problems in relation with the Mechanical operations/projects activities for Zain Sudan’ buildings and premises based on engineering knowledge
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on mechanical Sys and other installed systems.
  • Maintain, operate all HVAC (including chiller / VRF AC Sys) and MEP systems and associated equipment, mechanical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs.
  • Supervise the work progress on sites considering the quality of the work and time management
  • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
  • Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive Maintenance contracts.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Prepare and submit reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Follow up the financial issues related to the tasks by preparing the needed reports for the work
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Prepare feasibility and technical studies to assist in decision making
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
  • Other assigned tasks as requested

What Do You Need to Qualify

Facilities Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a facilities management or operating / maintenance role.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
