Job Title: FinTech Manager
Reports to: Digital Service Senior director
Job Purpose: To Develop and implement the financial services Business plan for Zain SD; to adjust plan to best serve the objectives of the organization; develop financial products and services; To introduce new and advanced financial services to Zain customers and meet international standards. Align with CBOS and different governmental bodies to discuss regulatory, licenses and partnerships. Bring global financial services to Sudan utilizing our telecom infrastructure. Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets in alignment with Zain SD strategic objectives
Key Tasks/Accountabilities:
  • Formulate financial service business plans which enable company achievement of revenue and growth diversification.
  • Supervise the definition of the financial services management processes to improve efficiency and meet organization goals.
  • Ensure the strict respect & execution of the Mobile Money Management processes
  • Supervise Mobile Money budget preparation.
  • Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly reports exist for all relevant activities, trends, revenues in the mobile money structure.
  • Ensure that plans and objectives are met within the agreed level of expenditure and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance to anti-money laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF).
  • Build and manage the relationship between Mobile Money Unit and key external stakeholders including bank partners, central bank, master agents, and other statutory bodies.
  • Continuously develop initiatives to grow revenue and optimize expenses.
  • Develop and implement an effective route to market plans to ensure market dominance of company products/services.
  • Organize and coordinate operation in ways that ensure maximum productivity.
  • Ensure conformance to regulatory obligations of MFS products while maintaining a balanced relationship with key stakeholders. Lead by example and inspire team members through excellent stakeholder management, content expertise and thought leadership.
  • Train, manage Team and Monitor to handover Mobile Money Finance Operations activities.

What Do You Need to Qualify


  • B.S.c. in Information Technology, business administration or any related field.
  • MBA or relevant master in Finance/Business is mandatory.
  • FinTech certification is mandatory.
  • Mobile Telecom, banking or IT.
  • Business Development experience and knowledge is an advantage.
  • Previous experience of PM is mandatory.
  • 5 years of experience in financial service product development/management, business analysis, marketing or any relevant field
  • Experience in developing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Experience working closely with team members during development and product launch
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Ability to explore, analyze and utilize various software platforms from an end user perspective
  • Ability to work independently and jointly in unstructured environments in a self-directed way
Ability to take a leadership role on projects

Skills: Must have the ability to understand customer needs and turn them into technical and system requirements.

- Must have very good presentation skills

-Understanding of Technology & Commercial road map.

- Must have strong interpersonal abilities and should like to work with many different people

- Experience in a pressurized working environment with the ability to resolve unexpected conflicting demands in a rapidly changing environment

- Suitability as a role model, self-motivated and a team player

- Must demonstrate the ability to do multi-tasks while be able to produce accurate documents and reports for management

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Marketing processes of Zain.

- Thorough knowledge of presentation tools, such as power point.

- Profound experience with reporting tools, such as Data Warehouse as well as all MS applications e.g. Visio (or similar)

- Thorough knowledge of the Sales and Customer Care organization and the points of contacts.
