Job Description

Main tasks of the technical key account Manager to align the company strategy in terms of the purchasing. He/ She will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the technical (IT& Telecom) purchasing requests to decide the best procuring strategy to improve the cost and reduce the financial & operation risks. The buyer should have the following qualifications to achieve the company goals:

• Do a market research to find local and overseas suppliers with capability to deliver the future business requirements.
• Evaluate and manage local and overseas suppliers to align with organizational business strategy.
• Forecast and share the procurement strategy within the department (IT/Telecom) with stakeholders to comply with the future project’s requirements and plan.
• Prepare sourcing strategy planning to reach the optimum cost optimization to be in line with company cost saving strategy.
• Releasing the RFP/RFQs by following the below purchasing steps:
  • Evaluate the submitted technical purchase requests are valid and the requirements are complete.
  • Ensure all required documents and requirements are fulfilled as per the company processes.
  • Coordinate with the requesters to set the best evaluation criteria and to meet the project timelines and commitments.
  • Analyze the cost components for the request and derive the best target price and achieve it.
  • Shortlisting new and existing vendors with capability to implement the required scope.
  • Issue the Tender to the final approved vendors.
  • Follow the remaining procurement steps till contract signature and PO issuance.
• Review/Negotiate existing and new contract costs (CAPEX & OPEX) & terms to ensure meeting the company’s procurement strategy by ensuring best price whilst maintaining the best quality.
• Analyze the complex projects (Multi vendors projects) and chose the best procurement strategy and models to avoid any purchasing redundancy.
• Maintains and updates procurement related folders, daily/monthly progress reports and reference prices sheets with the new items.
• Purchase Orders Tasks to confirm the PO issued on time to avoid any operation delays:
  • Review the submitted department relates PR through ERP system and attached all related supporting documents as per the company policies.
  • Prepare the PO as per contract terms, Payment terms and any specials clauses.
  • Follow up the PO approvals through the ERP.
  • Confirm with the stakeholders the PO issuance after receiving the related approvals.
• Contract Management tasks:
  • Prepare, review and sign the contract from related business units and as per company policies.
  • Manage & review contract modification and analysis for maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk.
  • Provide technical, commercial and contractual support to all business units.
• To perform all the above mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, and to report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the supervisor/manager immediately.
