Department: PMO & Commercial Support Job title: Commercial PMO Specialist Reports to: Commercial PMO Team Leader
Effective implementation of project management across commercial department. Also responsible for prioritizing the projects & coordinating between the different sections in commercial department as well as with other department to deliver all aspect of the project management.
Key tasks and responsibilities A PMO Specialist is responsible for the following Tasks:
Support the business through the application of project portfolio management for all strategic and tactical projects through a clear project time plan and process.
Closely track progress & perform assessments of road map & non-road map projects regarding delivery and/or delivery threats in CFT’s and other related meetings in order to increase & enhance timely completion of projects.
Update Project Plans and produce status reports on frequent basis and make proper recommendations including corrective actions if needed
Provide support to project teams so as to help project owners to execute their strategic goals.
Become a center of project management excellence for business support particularly in “delayed projects” and provide a single point of knowledge & information for all departments.
Run & improve the communication of projects status and escalate to top management when necessary.
Continuously improve project management standards and best practices into the organization in order to standardize the implementation process to increase the project success rate and reduce costs.
Anticipate the gaps in projects and in the commercial area and manage resolutions through CFT’s and with concerned team members.
Manage the completion and submission of post launch analysis of the Commercial projects with special focus on strategic projects.
Manage PMO related meetings, produce reports needed to run those meetings and manage APs and follow up its closure with SME.
Provide periodic and ad Hoc reports on projects and performance , project management process maintain SLAs agreed with different stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements on Information Security.
Background and experience A PMO Specialist must acquire the following:
Educated to Degree level.
Relevant Professional Commercial/Business and Project management is mandatory.
Project management certificate is preferred.
2-3 years’ previous experience of Commercial role in a private sector organization is mandatory.
International management experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate in Arabic and English is mandatory.
Relevant IT / Technical understanding is preferable

In-depth understanding of processes management
Good understanding capabilities
Relevant IT / Technical understanding
Good understanding of the relevant regulatory legal and other contextual factors that impacting on the successful of the project
Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written).
Skills in use of relevant IT packages including Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
